I wish celebs like Bono and Sean Penn would take notice. Kal Penn worked his ass off for Obama and never once did he feel the need to flaunt it. +1 to Kal for showing genuine class. I'm going to miss him on House, but I'm glad he's off doing what he thinks is right.

I've been dying to see this poster since Spike mentioned it in that interview on AICN. Well worth the wait!

I find the FBR to be better than any movie he has made ever.

Normally, I WOULD Agree with you Peter, but "Brett Ratner's" is far better than I imagine the real thing would be: http://twitter.com/brettratner.

Exactly. A good movie sells itself without a voice over that tells the whole story. Some people actually don't WANT to know the whole story going in...

It's two versions of the song; it starts with the acoustic version, then switches to the original album version.

What I don't understand is your argument that CGI dates a film. What doesn't date a film? Color vs. Black and white dates films. So does the cast, the costumes, music... you get the idea. You speak of CGI like it's some new-fangled contraption when it's been around for 20 years. Yes, it'll date a movie-- by making people realize it was made after the invention of computer generated imagery. But it's not like filmmakers are going to stop using CGI in five years and we're going to look back and say "Oh man, remember when we used computers to make things in movies? How silly was that dark era of film history?"

Having seen the film and also seen test footage of the effects and these pictures, I personally think they made the right choice to do it the way they did.

Actually, the faces on the costumes are 100% static. Any movement at all on the faces has to have been done with CGI. There is no puppetry on the faces. Having actually seen the movie, I can tell you that there was no facial animation whatsoever when I watched it. Just reference spots so that they could animate properly.

God I can't wait for this. Their faces looked better than I ever could have hoped. I'm most curious about the score now. The rough was cut to Arcade Fire songs and it worked so beautifully. I wonder how Karen O's soundtrack will compare.
