Hello

Supplements aren't the magic solution to results. They will only improve your results by a small percentage. I think many think they are essential, but if you are eating right you can do without in some cases. However supplements are exactly that they help in supplementing your diet. In certain cases many find it hard to get the right amount of protein in their diet so this is when it can be useful.

In addition, it is very useful for pre and post workout nutrition.

So the answer is, it is not essential to your results, however they are really useful and can be used to speed up your results (if used right)

Hope that helps...

Hey Cory,

Appreciate your comments...just to clear up, I have included under Essential fatty acids that fish oils are a great supplement and hence they form part of the 6 best supplements. I have in fact chosen to give people the option of fish oils or flax seed oil (if for example they are vegetarian can have flax seed oil instead). Fish oils, are no doubt probably the best, but flax seed is a very good option too. So that is something you can recommend to others too esp if they don't eat fish :)

In regard to multi vitamins, as mentioned they are a must too...and hence why they form one of the important 6 supplements. Definitely important that people do take multi vitamins and essential fatty acids as part of a normal healthy diet, however add in the other 4 above, and you'll see massive results...

Glad you enjoying the articles and hope they help you achieve what you're looking for :)

Hey Dan,

I know what you mean, as I used to hate my skinny calves! This worked for me and pretty much all my clients! So enjoy and look forward to hearing about your results...

For the menu side, Its pretty difficult for me to provide a whole menu here..but if you get my full program from http://www.bodybuilding4idiots.com it contains a whole nutrition program for you to follow...nutrition is 60% of your results at least, so if you don't get that right, you're not going anywhere unfortunately...

also read my nutrition articles on this blog, they will help you too...

Hi Ross

Thanks for your question. Definitely you can focus on correcting your posture and any muscle imbalances. This is a very good idea and coincidentally it is something I'm going to be writing an article about very soon also...so definitely suggest it...

I think this is quite a big topic to cover just in one comment though...so as soon as I've constructed an article for this, I'll let you know :)...hope that's okay..

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your kind words...

Glad you're enjoying the course...I'm guessing you're at intermediate stage...(quick question have you started the workout cycle as yet? as this would mean you won't get used to any one routine, so your body continues to grow?

Here are a few suggestions anyway:

1) Start using the variations I describe from page 151-160 within your workout. You can use these to severely increase your intensity and boost your muscle growth. The key ones you can use are things like giant sets, negatives and pre-exhaustion.

2) Instead of doing 4 sets of 9 sets each, increase the weight for each set, and do it so you fully exhaust after doing (i.e. can't even do 1 more rep):

set 1 - 9 reps
Set 2- 8 reps
Set 3- 7 reps
Set 4 - 6 reps

3) Start varying your exercises up

4) Move from intermediate to advanced (look on page 163), where you work only one muscle group per workout and do 3-4 exercises for each muscle group.

I hope that helps..if you have any more questions, please let me know, and I'll come back to you fast (apologies for the slight delay in this reply) :)...

Thanks for your question Todd...answering each question 1 by 1...

1) When you workout, you burn off the food you are eating and more (i.e. you use more calories), so that just means you get hungry faster and crave more food (i.e. you want more calories to cover for what you are burning)

2) You'll start seeing results very quickly....Give it a try and I'll be surprised if you don't notice a difference within 2 weeks

3) The shake is vital because your body needs the nutrients quickly before, during and after the workout...The only way you can do this is with this shake because:
- its a drink so provides your body with the nutrients quicker (its digested quicker)
- It contains whey protein, which is a fast digesting protein
- it contains dextrose, which is a fast digesting carbohydrate
Without it, you won't get results quickly.

I hope that helps...keep reading...got some great articles coming your way...

Hey "Fat Burning Gal" :)...like the name

And great comment...the only thing I would say is, yes dairy and hot peppers can help in weight loss and fat loss. However with dairy you'll find it contains lactose, which is a simple sugar. And so too much dairy is actually not great for fat loss.

As an experiment you can try and cut out dairy for 10 days, and see the results. When I tried this for getting ripped, it really helped to shed fat. So keep using the grapefruit and hot peppers, but cut down on the dairy...Good luck!
