We are all very proud of my son and he is following in the footsteps of his mother, father, 4 Uncles and his Grandpa's. Our family supports the ideal that "Freedom Is Not Free" and that this country is worth supporting. I just hope the Government remembers why they are there and who sent them.
It seems the current administration can not wait to throw anyone to the media in an effort to discredit previous policies. I am not saying that the Bush faction was always right but it is the responsibility of the current POTUS to stand up for our military and intelligence personnel or put us all at great risk. Who is willing to stand up with advice for the POTUS now?

My biggest fear is that this country has tied the hands of the military and has set them up to lose. Why send them over if you will not stand behind them. I have already seen the POTUS and Sec of State jump to conclusions about a recent event where the Taliban used civilians and killed them and later accused the US of responsibility. Is this how we stand behind our military? Make public apologies without knowing all the facts?? I am sick at heart and hope to god my son does not end up in one of these situations as I am sure he would be thrown under the bus by our government - what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty.

I am shocked, disgusted and dismayed by all the hate being directed at participants.
My group went as we feel congress (Dems & Repubs) are not and have not been representing the people of this country for many years. Recent events were just the straw that finally broke the camels back. The more I looked at the on going and previous records of congress and it's activities the more apparent it becomes that none of them have been working for the people but for their own pocketbooks and power.
At our tea party there were Dems, Libertarians, & Repubs and all seemed to agree that congress was out of control and had been out of control for a long time.

I hesitate to bring this up as it is so contrary to my work ethic and up bringing but here it goes. I work with and know many people who are very upset about the state of our government and economy and they all want to do something. I have been telling everyone to write to congress, talk to friends & coworkers, follow the news on the internet and go to tea parties. Many people are uncomfortable with public displays and protest. It is unusual for the average go to work, pay my bills, pay taxes kind of person to run and do a public event. I admit this is part of the reason we are where we are today, not enough of us spoke up. Just for the record - I WILL BE AT OUR LOCAL TEA PARTY ON TAX DAY.
I have started suggesting to these people who are hesitant to actually protest to just take off work. BAILOUT Blues , Blue flu or whatever you want to call it. My thought is, what do people like us have that they need from us? We can't stop the taxes they come out of our checks. All we have is our productivity. If all of us who are upset actually went to protests or just did not work on that day I would think the productivity loss would be noticed. Maybe it won't ? Maybe just one small drop in the ocean and not be noticed? Just my thought.
Sorry if this is a rehash.
