Is that really as deep as you can go? Thanks for proving my point.

I can't speak for the Tea Party, but I'm pretty sure the government is the problem, not the solution. The banks are the most heavily regulated industry in the world, and also the richest. Go figure.

"There are people that like the money going to other countries. There are people that see that welfare as keeping us safe. There are people that see the government as keeping Americans safe..."

And there are people that call those people "too liberal." The only thing I want the TEA Party to do is to focus on spending, and the need to stop it. Everything else is a wedge issue designed to dilute the original intent.

So, you're belittling Ron Paul, mocking his supporters, then accusing other people of encouraging political division.

You might want to rethink some of those team-building skills.

And it never ceases to amaze me how quickly the conversations move from discussing issues, to attacking Paul, then to attacking his supporters.

Now I am confused. The Ron Paul people are saying that the media unfairly attacks him, while you're saying the media unfairly elevates him.

Is everybody now a conspiracy theorist?

I was a Paul supporter in 2008, and I'd vote for Palin in a New York second. So I find it more confusing than amusing.

Yep, but he already knew that he had a huge base of support when he said it. IIRC, even he was astounded at the reaction he got from the moderate Republican conservatives.

It's probably a good thing these folks didn't vet their organizers before jumping on board, or their over-the-top distaste for all things Paul would have kept them from attending. At this point, if they want to believe that they did all this spontaneously, I say let them. Reagan said you can accomplish a lot if you don't care who gets the credit. I'm totally on board with that.

Well, it isn't like we didn't accomplish anything....

That would only be true if he was launching a third party run.
