I have been on this site for over a year now. I have received support and legal assistance by finding this site just when i was about to be pulled into the black hole of the BVA via an awol SO who i relieved of command. Instead my claim is on track with legal direction this site and all who support VAwatchdog. without sounding like a broken record, i pass information to vets at my local VA about this site, there comments are positive and some have been helped by Jim also. My only suggestion and its a suggestion only..is I find reading the mail call questions very helpful..i guess i relate and there very insightful. I know Jims busy as a cat in a windstorm but be nice to have more of them on a weekly basis, there good reading too. My appreciation and most gracious thanks to Jim and staff who make this site what it as..the best vet site nationally and currently in operation. have a blessed safe and patriotic Memorial Day...we remember.

one must wonder from time to time about how people and rumors attempt to cause
negative and malicious intentions. No matter what resistance or obstacle
that is produced by those who cause others to falter or be mislead VAwatchdogtoday
will never be defeated. why? because of the GOOD it does for veterans such as myself.
The SUPPORT and UNITED effort that is gained from this site will never falter against
the dark forces that swirl about in this society. To Jim and Larry I say champions one and all!
GOOD will always WIN ! ..from a grateful veteran...

To say Im most grateful and relieved to know that watchdog will continue doesnt seem like enough for my gratitude .
A true champion and vet advocate as Jim Strickland to take charge couldnt find a better brother to fill the big shoes.
My prayers to Larry and for the folks who fight for us and support and battle for us vets. We must form a united
front and both Jim and Larry have done just that. THANK YOU my brothers and sisters too.

as a combat veteran of Nam, certainly its ones right to do and say what one feels within the laws.
for those who have fought and remember those who died, those who returned home from Nam not quite the same,
freedom has a meaning for those who have not fought for it will never know. A reinactment on "steroids" sounds
fully embedded with alot of built up stress, and a hangover that is still meating out its destructiveness.
we all deal with some of Nams residules and count me out for supporting this kind of "therapy".
get a reinactment that teaches " class room ideals to avoid such moral decay".

w/o reiterating everything jim stated, its up to the DAV to get it right.
clean house, revamp restructure training their SO's. weed out the
SO's that are just collecting a check, not passing training
update tests, SO's that get alot of complaints need to be
moved out. it starts at the top in the offices that can make
that difference. otherwise its just more smoke and vets
need to have the right to legal council.

the kid got caught up in his homecoming, mom and local
town folk looks like. what he didnt know was the popular
support soldiers have now, unlike the nam vets experienced.
i support the Stolen Valor Act, zero toleration. but the kid
was sprung by his own unit, he apologized quickly to all
and i guess maybe its a done deal. hard lesson learned.
if he hadnt been outted, he most likely would later add more
medals embellishments and gotten deeper in trouble.

i support the Stolen Valor Act. I support reprisals to those
who embellish falsify gain monitarily by postering as phoney
wannabes. its a crime, and offensive to me. as a combat
veteran of Nam, i will never forget those who died in the mud
or lost limbs they are the ones I duely stand guard for
in honor and those veterans of wars now.
