I hope I can provide some clarification to address your concerns. Savers is closing on Nov. 22 and customers did express disappointment. Additionally, a petition was started on Change.org to save the store. I am extremely cautious about any article that involves speculation; but in this case, when supervisors and owners of the businesses affected by this deal repeatedly say the building sold and that Whole Foods is the buyer, I would've been remiss to not address it in the article and follow up with Whole Foods to respond to these very widespread claims. Whole Foods officials have denied that they plan to open a store in that location. So you have to take that into consideration as well. We'll know more about the potential buyer when that warranty deed is filed and recorded. I am sorry about that. The typo has been corrected. I apparently was a bit overzealous in cutting some copy about 2003 from the beginning to get to the anniversary more quickly and the 12 was not changed to 22. I apologize for the oversight that occurred in haste.

Thank you for the comment. We've heard the same for a while now. Officials involved have not commented and King Soopers officials have repeatedly declined to comment.

Until this point, this technically has been speculation as no official documents were filed with the city for development proposals related to these sites.

Now we do have city documents that provide detailed information about the proposal.

Goodness, both of you are absolutely correct. In my haste of finishing the article last week, I misplaced a digit on my calculations. The article above soon will reflect that change and a include a correction. I apologize profusely for the error. Haste absolutely is no excuse. This writer, who screwed up, hates being human sometimes.
