It has to be Lugo. He was definitively more of a detriment than these other characters seeing as he hung around longer and played horribly for the entire stretch. Gagne was awful, but he was only on the team for two months. And Jurassic Carl? He was a jackass but let's not forget that he broke up Mike Mussina's perfect game at Fenway in the 9th inning with two outs and two strikes on him, averting an incredible embarrassment.

I ate their food once and felt... betrayed. Doesn't surprise me that Dougie could handle it, though, since he's made out of stone. He doesn't need batting gloves since his hands don't get calloused from the bat (the bat gets calloused by his hands).

To be fair, one of the reasons the Sox let him walk was his drinking problem. And after joining LA, he left his wife and two kids for a woman on the Dodgers' broadcast team. I have lots of respect for what he did playing with us, but I'm not bothered that he left.
