Am I the only one who is disappointed about the snow changing over to rain? I've really enjoyed the past couple of days and knowing that we probably won't get a snow event like this again until next winter makes me cherish it even more.

It seems like the forecasters never predict the weather right. Yesterday they said that the snow would turn to rain by late morning in all of western Washington and the temperatures would rise to the mid to upper 30's. It's 2:30 right now in Lynnwood and the snow has been coming down moderate/heavily since I woke up this morning and it's still not letting up. We have accumulated about 5 inches of snow just today. It's also not even close to the 35 degrees they were expecting, the temperature actually just dropped down to 25 degrees. It goes to show you that even with the new technology involving weather instruments, the weather is still too tough to predict around here.

I have 4wd and even I had brief moments where my car would start to lose control on the ice. From what I've seen, I'm not the only one. Your "bald tires" must be really special then if you could get to work going the speed limit the entire way.

Roads are sheets of ice and compact snow here in Lynnwood. Just came back from venturing out and saw a few accidents, people getting stuck and spinning out on even the level surfaces of highway 99. The temperature was at 27 degrees and I have a feeling that it is going to get colder before the night is over. Good piece of advice is to stay home if you can!
