Why is it that so far as I can tell no one in the United States can see that your country owes these men reparations? You paid a bounty for them, never gave them a fair trial, and deprived them of their liberty for years for nothing that they had done.

Your country OWES them reparations of millions of dollars, and resettlement in their own individual palaces.

And as my country, Australia, was complicit in these offenses we owe them too.

Rep. Paul's principled comments are one of the few reasons I, as a foreigner, have any hope for the US.

It would be even better if your country could think of making reparations to all the people you have tortured, or renditioned, or detained for years without cause or due process. You _owe_ these people.
