Well .. As we all well know, The Police would Not shoot anyone who wasn't presenting an imminent threat to them. So, What are we to glean from this new project .. Send a social worker to interface with those imminent threats, and end up with 8 dead social workers??
'They' might want to rethink this a little???

"If" he served 90 days of active military service*, with even 1 day during a 'time of war' (in his case December 7, 1941, through December 31, 1946) he 'should be' eligible for VA Pension ( http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/pension/vetpen.htm#2 )

* "perhaps" the problem arises with the "active military service" provision, as 'they' mention he was "only active duty for training purposes" ??

One day - a number of years ago - I was in a store, and the background music caught my attention .. I asked what it was and was told it was a British kid singer named Charlotte Church, I lingered for a while, Totally captivated by 'that voice'.
I have since acquired Most of her early music, and listen to it often. Truly one of my Favorite young artists!

As is most often the case, her later 'stuff' moved in a direction that was not - in my opinion, and for my taste - her best move .. But given the times we live in, not unexpected :-(
I am sorry to hear how her career has gone - She was a Great talent.

Oh Well .. Regardless of what has transpired, She still left her mark.
