My dear Elise,

Jewish.....Jewish.....Jewish..... As if there arent any honest Jewish landlords and EQUALLY dishonest landlords of other ethnicities and religions. Are you making it a sport to specifically hunt down Jewish owned properties and landlords? What about the rest of the slum buildings in that and other areas, not owned by Jews? Everything is ok in those buildings? My friend, why are tenants renting there if conditions are the worst?

The "community" only suffers, both within the community, and in public opinion, if they continue to kowtow to the higher-ups and continue to torment all/most victims and treat them like those having had psychotic episodes . And this is from someone who is as "frum" as you are! The frum community is embarassed and shocked by experiencing the higher-ups and their many mouthpieces smugly tormenting victims.

And YOU, YG, have the challenge of making a difference in the community. Will you let the opportunity pass and have more Jewish children suffer in silence both in the present and the future and continue kowtowing?

YG, how would you react if your child was molested? I think you'd be courageous and cry for change. Well, do it for others! Theres much change in progress within our community. Be part of it!

Please, dont continue to give the Judy Browns of the world ammunition and legitimate reason to mock us. Lets take her guns away.

There are people who know of many other Weberman victims.

If other Weberman victims dont come forward and by their non-action give Weberman his freedom, on appeal, these victims will have more life-long guilt to deal with. How can that be good?

I think at this point the majority of the Orthodox community see/think/know that Weberman is guilty. My estimation is that more in the Orthodox community feel he's guilty than those who see/think/know him as innocent, even in W I L L I A M S B U R G!!!.

BUT, only the victims can keep Weberman from freedom. To everyone else its a learning experience for the future.

I think we're all "getting it". Cover up of molestation is not healthy for anyone!

Hater par excellence?

Why in singular? There are many similar comments here, all not in agreement w the author, Ms Moolah and Satisfaction at the Gates Brown.

Please clarify what you have taught your children that you feel much surpasses what Charedi children are taught.

What have your children put into practice, that you have taught them, that much surpassses what Charedi children put into practice?

Please, no H A T E though.

Ok, how are we defining Haredim?

If we interchange Haredim with Hasidim, yes, they do want to shut out the world (no secular education, no mingling with non-Jews, etc).

If we define Haredim as anyone looking to observe the laws of the Torah, just as their parents did, including keeping the Sabbath, as their parents did, there are millions of Jews throughout the world who are in that category, and very much on the internet, very much into getting advanced secular educations, very much into mingling with non-Jews and do and think very much like secular Jews, outside of what is contraindicated in the Torah. (You can have the cake and eat it too).

Is one categorized as Haredi, even if they do everything that secular Jews do, outside of what is forbidden in the Torah?

If I'd choose to focus strictly on the negative (and all communities and groups have negative stuff you can find, if you look for it), and take as gospel the slime written here, rather than get to know any of those from community firsthand, I, like you, would be painting an entire community with the same ugly broad stroke as the "talented" authoress of this piece "Moolah and Satisfaction, anything for a buck, at the Gates". does.

A piece that doesnt promote peace,

And how many parents are pleased in modern orthodox, conservative and reform, as well as non-Jewish families, when their children leave the faith of their parents to become followers of the Maharajis and Gurus in India, etc and vice versa? I would think a minority.

I dont see internet filters as having been invented strictly for the Orthodox.

How true!

And in the same vein, pieces like "Moolah and Satisfaction at Judy's Gates" (here called Gentiles at the Gates), where a great number of people are very seriously disparaged, should not be applauded by anyone with a heart or brain.

Great men and women, past and present, have always preferred peace over war. This piece doesnt promote peace. We should all work towards mutual understanding.

This is going backward, not Forward.

If the internet was a totally safe and acceptable environment for all to explore with no limit, and non-religious individuals were allowed and encouraged to do so, internet filter services wouldnt be making a mint throughout the world.
