Since December 2009 Ray's been performing at conservative functions and has issued two CD's worth of protest music from the conservative/Tea Party point of view. The first CD was called "We The People" and was released in the summer of 2010. The CD was named after his You Tube music video which, at the time, had been viewed by more than 3,000,000 people. The CD release features 22 songs. You Tube is where Ray releases his current music, in the form of music videos, since radio wasn't being supportive. Throughout 2010 Ray made quite a few politically themed music videos opposing Obama and the far-left political direction he and his party wants to take the country. In addition to "We The People" there was "Caribou Barbie", "Throw the Bums Out!", "Come to the U.S.A." (skewering illegal immigration...it has over 5,000,000 You Tube views), "The Global Warming Song" (about the climate change hoax), and "God Save Arizona" (about the battles between that state and Eric Holder). In 2011 Ray released the following music videos on You Tube: "The Skies Just Ain't Friendly Anymore" (about the TSA), "The Obama Budget Plan" (which recently surpassed 1,000,000 views), and his most recent video is "Mr. President - Mr. President". His current CD is titled Spirit of '76.

oh you're welcome...I commented today because I saw some posts asking questions about Ray and since I can't help myself I decided to offer some replies.

Yes, he still performs the song in concert. I saw him in 2008 and 2009...when he used to have his theater in Branson, Missouri in the early 1990's he'd perform the song while wearing a camel costume. It was a life-size puppet of a camel that he would slip his legs into and it had fake human legs sewn on either side to make it look as if he was riding the camel. There should be pictures of him and the camel puppet on-line.

Better yet...It appears in his 1995 music video of "Ahab the Arab" featured here...

He uploaded the video onto You Tube in 2009 but it was filmed in 1995 as part of his direct-to-home video movie called "Get Serious!" where he skewers political correctness.

Ray's Facebook page is named after his music publishing company: Ray Stevens Music. His You Tube page is also called Ray Stevens Music. You should be able to find his Facebook page by doing a search.
