Christianity, Judaism, Hindi, etc. are religions, and thus, don't scare the pants off the leftists. Islam, on the other hand, is forever to be known by its most visible followers. Suicide bombings, honor killings, and the like tend to dissuade people from inciting them to action. An exercise in futility to be sure, but nonetheless, the Islamic cult has the movies, business, and government scared and mollified. They dare not touch!
Read Marcinko's book as well; "Red Cell" I think is the title. Been a while so thanks to you, I think I'll pick it up again.
Ed Harris is known as a raging lefty, always has been. Specifically anti-2nd amendment.
For a daily blow-by-blow of SEAL training, along with great narrative regarding mental strength training, read Chris Kyle's book, "American Sniper." An honest narrative...and a quick read. K.
Today's generation of government (public) school teachers are philosophically worlds away from those of 40-50 years ago. I graduated high school in '66; I remember it well, and I don't recall any political influence one way or the other. They were, after all, educators with lesson plans and curricula on which they concentrated. Because of them, I went to college on an academic scholarship that actually meant something.
Just a note: Tony Stewart guest stars on "Man Of the House" tonight. Tony and Tim...two car guys. Should be interesting.
Used to go to York US 30 dragway near Gary, Ind. Throw a cooler of beer and a couple of lawn chairs in the bed of the truck, and you could back right up to the guardrail at the finish line. Too bad those days are gone. Roland Leong's "Hawaiian" and "The Blue Max"....what a show at night.
Not commenting on your meaning, just your syntax...."from" instead of "than."
I won't watch remakes. I find them tedious and expressions of pompousness by the people who make them. They are, by-and-large, produced in order to exhibit today's expressions of political correctness, diversity, etc. Sorry, there is no time machine. Since I eschew their viewing, I am never disappointed.
