Singer's stated motivation in Superman Returns was to wrap-up the original Donner films of Superman The Movie and Superman II. It was his intention all along to make the movie that owed a great deal to the original two and then his second was to be a high energy action hero piece with villians worth of Superman. People act like it was a failure but global receipts totaled more than 300million. It's a crime he didn't get to continue his vision because the studio lacks brains or vision.

Because Ron Moore jumped the shark/Nuked the Fridge on the Show Finale of BSG. That was such an insulting pile of putrid turd that I was offended. I was a huge proponent of that show, constantly telling everyone that would listen how it was simply the best show on television, and then he delivered that sloppy, ill-conceived waste of time.

After that ending, the fans deserve a new and fresh take of that franchise.

After the craptastic craptacular ending that Moore gave us for the Sci-Fi (I refuse their new name) series, I feel he's lost all rights to the franchise. That ending was so absolutely horrible I've lost my taste for the show and would welcome a talented director like Singer to take a swing at this. My only complaint is that this must make it 150% certain he won't get to continue his vision for Superman, which is truly a crime.
