Why can't I track someone's comment on a blog without Intense Debate Comments?

For tracking purposes, the blog must install our system (in a few easy steps). So, if your favorite blog does not have Intense Debate Comments, tell them about us. Once they see our offering, they will quickly realize the old way to comment on blogs is antiquated.
How do I install it on my site?
- Visit our homepage at www.intensedebate.com and enter your blog or website url and click 'Get Intense Debate'. You will be ushered through the install process and if you have any issues or feedback, just let us know. contactus at intensedebate dot com.

- Intense Debate Comments are a substitute for your current blog commenting system and the first release from Intense Debate.
- Intense Debate Comments are embedded into a user's blog like a widget.

Where do I moderate my comments?
- Currently, publishers moderate their comments on the Intense Debate website. We offer a number of great moderation solutions and controls.
Can I put your comment system on a website other than a blog?
- Absolutely. Just enter the url for your website and follow the instructions. A javascript snippet will be generated that you can copy and paste into your website template.

If I have a problem, what do I do?
- Email us at support at intensedebate dot com or log onto our forums and post in the support section.
What about spam?
- Since this is a new comment system spam bots don't know how to post spam directly to it yet. When they do, they will be met with our spam prevention solution.
Do I lose my old comments?
- No. Data migration is very important to us. If you install our system and would like all your old comments to show in the Intense Debate format, you can do so by using our importer. We also have an option to only display our system on new posts and previous posts with zero comments.
Can I still moderate my comments?
- Yes, you will have just as much, if not more, control over your comments as you currently do. In fact you can even moderate all the comments from all your blogs in one place, making moderation faster and easier.
What platforms do you support?
- We directly support Wordpress, Typepad, and Blogger. However with our generic script we will work on most blogs or websites no matter the platform.
In Wordpress, why are my trackbacks not appearing?
- For Wordpress users, trackbacks currently do not display on our system. This functionality will be released at some point in the near future. This is one of the most highly requested features so you can bet we are working on it.
In Wordpress, why is the importer not working for me?
- We are seeing 80-85% success with our current Wordpress importer. There will be a new version of the importer soon. For those having problems, please post to the forums or send an email to contactus at intensedebate dot com and we'll get you setup with a new version we're currently testing.
