I have been thinking about this one, and hoping to read it. I need some nice books, and some books that just make me feel good. I might have to pursue this one on audio. Very gentle and lovely review today!

Oh man, this does sound like a really unique dystopian, and I would love to read it. Thanks for the chance to win. I like books like this, and don't often read enough of them.

I agree with this stance, and even though my kids are not that crazy about it, they will unplug if I ask them to. I think I will still blog, but make more time for reading and listening to books. Thanks for letting us know about this, Alison!

I would have been mad about that pitch too. I had that happen to me one time, and I was just like, whatever, I don't need the books anyway. If I really want it that bad, I will buy it when it comes out. I think it's highly unprofessional, and disrespectful like BF said. I also hate it when they just send books and then contact me and ask when I will review it. I never asked to review it! Don't do that!! I don't like that they treat us like lackeys, and I hate it when they bug me about when I am going to post a review. Personally, I have been going through a lot at this time in my life, and books can't be a priority like they used to be. I make the time and effort if people are nice and the books are good, but sometimes they act like we aren't even human, only a means to an end. I could go on, but I won't!

I actually like to read on my Ipad better than in print, because it's easier to hold, and I have a little flexible stand for it, so I can get really cozy on the couch or in the bed with it. I have thought about other e-readers, and started out with a Kindle, but it wasn't meeting my needs. I do use the Kindle app on my Ipad, and that's very helpful, since I have so many books on it! I am glad that you like your new device, and I hope that you enjoy using it long into the future. You will have to let us know!

One of the best hauls I have seen in a long time! It's amazing how many great books you got there! :)

I know how you feel. I've had some soul crumpling things happen in my life over the past year, and I wonder how long I will keep posting and commenting. I see it like visiting my friends, so as long as they are posting, I am reading, but I don't know if everyone feels like that. I do hate the demise of google reader though. I think it's sad and makes me angry. I like a few of the other applications though, so it's not all bad. I am in the same boat, and I think a lot of us are.

I have this one on audio and want to listen to it, and I am curious to see if I have a reaction like yours, or like Jenny's. Zombie books are always interesting to me, and I need to make time for this one. I might love it, or I might hate it. It all depends...
