"The trick is in choosing what to draw conclusions about."

Very good sentence.

Lol, the sad thing is that he is still touting "game theory" without justifying the original premise. First thing he needs to do is to prove using examples HOW Game Theory is a consistent model for 40k, and COMPARE the legitimacy of using Game Theory as a model versus other possible models (Chaos Theory, etc.).

Justify the original premise. "It works because it's called Game Theory" is not a premise.

The interesting thing is the lack of examples and rational arguments you use to support your argument. Just repeating your main point everywhere doesn't make it any true.

Not to mention normal curves due to dice roll instead of the typical 2-choice Game Theory thought example.

No, he does not say that "SWOT is how you accomplish as much as possible with the resources at hand." He makes two separate, exclusive statements: (1) 40k is a game of limited resources, (2) Here's "one technique of understanding the business environment" of a limited resource situation.

Nothing about using SWOT because it is resource efficient. That is such a lulzworthy wrong understanding of the OP's statements.

Rofl, that only applies to simple games. You can't use a binary tree or even consider a complex system as a "tree" of connected details.

Go study chaos/complexity theory and come back.

I think it's pretty obvious that this is not an analytical tool, but a method of organizing insight (induction rather than deduction).

Something tells me that all you know from Game Theory is from Googling and Wikipedia. Anyone who actually knows a subject would have taken two paragraphs to explain his entire point and leave it at that, instead of name-dropping and making obvious paraphrasing of WIkipedia articles.

Orly. So which principles of Game Theory apply to 40k? I'll give you a list to choose from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_in_gam...

Game theory has nothing to do with actual commercial games. Game theory studies mathematical thought experiments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_in_gam...
