Toasties I am in the process of moving (and basically turning down what would have been a dream job opportunity had I stayed, but family is elsewhere), and The Toast is closing, and now Hillary Clinton posted here, and I have so many *feelings* and basically I just wanted to share that all with you. Thank you all for the amazing space that is The Toast. <3

So I am moving to another city and turning down dream career opportunities for family and am kind of freaking out, and The Toast is ending, AND THEN THIS HAPPENED. My day? 10000% better.

I am so ecstatic to have canvassed for our first woman president (and to do so again)!

Seconding the ACA marketplace. Changing jobs is considered a life event that qualifies you to shop for a new plan. It can be somewhat pricey, though, depending on plan, and the subsidy income threshold is pretty low.

This is beautiful and everything I have ever wanted and canon. Pure, delicious, non-misogynistic canon.

Agreed, I really like it! But I swear the conversation that went into it was something like, okay, we can have a show about 3 women with genuine friendships who do really cool things, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MEN. I know. Bikinis!

And so a show was born.

I just assume that Hollywood has decided every movie/show geared towards women needs to have something to appeal to the male gaze, because otherwise no men would watch it and that would be a disaster of disastrous proportions. (See: Nancy Drew being dropped because it skews "too female". Or, like, Cleopatra 2525 if we want to go to older extremes here.) I'm pretty cynical, though.
