I never said you can't do that, or that it isn't creative. My point was that Marines are held to a double standard. If I wanted to use the Blood Angels codex to represent an Eighth Company force of the Imperial Fists, I get berated as the damn devil of gaming. But if someone wants to use the Dark Eldar codex to represent Kroot Mercs, they are hailed as creative geniuses.

I've noticed that it is mostly only Marines that receive the flak for counts as. You doing Traitor Guard? I've seen someone say they're using the 'nid codex to represent it and he was praised for creativeness.

In the end, it basically comes down to people hating on Marines like they always have.

Hk's are there so the vindies can contribute to shooting for a turn. I can easily move them to the rhinos if I wanted to though.

Is that supposed to be 2000? I get 2110 when I add it together.

That is a very different list than I imagined.

2x Master of the Forge

Techmarine w/ servo-harness

2x Sternguard (5 strong) w/ 2x multi-melta; Rhino

4x Tactical Squad (5 strong) w/ combi-flamer; Razorback w/ lasplas; hk missile

3x Typhoons

3x Vindies w/ hk missile

Place Rbacks and/or Rhinos next to Vindicators to "hide" AV 11 with MotF/ Techmarine behind each one ready to repair immobilized or weapon destroyed result. Just hang back and shoot if they come at you w/ the Vindicators ready to shoot any infantry that make it to midfield. Sternguard can move into midfield if any Land Raiders or something want to come at you. If you facing something like IG or Tau, load up the MotF's and Techmarine in Rbacks and move forward until the Vindies are in range to shoot stuff.

I prefer Stelek's version over this one. His spams six Ironclads and there is no scout squad, doubling the amount of HKM's that can be fired on the first turn.

Any and all merchandise must be pink!

I love the idea of pink dice. It'd be easy to spot the 3++ visitors since I doubt pink dice are common.

I made a similar list a few weeks ago but used only five Dreadnoughts, 3 Tacticals, Sternguard, and Vulkan. Not sure if I still like mine better or yours. Yours definitely costs more to build. :p
