What a stunning rebuke. Comprehensively analysed, devastatingly well-argued and completely coherent. Marvellous.

Probably one of your most perceptive posts. Ever.

The fact that we have elected to institutionalise failure - the failure of children - in order to maintain as near to full employment as is possible absolutely beggars belief.

Bravo. The most insightful of the protesters seemed to have only grasped the most basic problems that we find ourselves in, and practically none seem to have realised that Mr Miliband and his ilk are precisely the people who landed us in the problem in the first place.

I should like to concur wholeheartedly on the notion of the state and anonymity. I revel in my anonymity.

Years of Conservative failure over the EU have once again come to a head. Quite what sort of reception Cameron is going to receive from his backbenchers is unknown, but I should imagine it will be hostile to say the least.

I fear that Ms Merkel's announcement was a cynically designed statement intended to suggest that she 'understood ordinary people' or some such other nonsense. However, it is also plausible that she is falling into line with the other member of the EU Entente, France, in attitudes towards immigration and the associated problems as well as benefits that their approach to migration brings about.

We are witnessing a left-liberal Europe forced to confront an explosion at the heart of its supposed wisdom- it is having to deal with the Geert Wilders and an increase in right-wing voting on one hand and the spectre of Islamic terrorism on the other. It is perhaps an apt time for a rethink.

Such a long-overdue move in this direction is, however, probably too late. Sixty years is a very long time to run such a profoundly culture-altering 'experiment', and the entrenched nature of the consequences of this will be difficult to reverse or even amend.

British people have been conditioned over time to believe they have the right to a high-paying job, or to a glamorous profession. They perceive work that their ancestors did through necessity, and with pride, to be below them and their lofty ambitions.

A reality check is required.

Never has a more lucid admission of true beliefs been realised. This is not a publicity campaign, this is a statement of intent.

I would disagree with the point regarding the necessity of a majority English Nationalist Party in Parliament. One need only look at the example of the Green Party in order to understand the value of a political party as populist pressure group, and furthermore, continued exposure of injustices created by unequal devolution is potent evidence of the need for English representation above and beyond the concerns of individual parties.

How many? I'd probably say 200 at the most, 170 is a more realistic estimate...

And anyway, as people have said: overpopulation is our most pressing concern above all others.
