I saw the title of this post and thought it kind of strange to refer to summer in December. Then I realized that in Australia, December is a summer month…

Sounds like a cool ministry to be involved with! Just prayed for you (and intend to continue). Cheers!

Thanks for your posts, Joanna! They're very thought-provoking, and I'm definitely blessed by them!

The way I tend to look at this is that God gives us just enough of Himself to make us want more. If He fixed us up right away, we might stop pursuing Him out of a feeling of "I got this"-ness. I also find that the more I pursue God, the more I see my inadequacy and how much really needs to be fixed.

We all long for that day, the same way I think we all miss Eden.

Will do. Sounds exciting!

What conference are you attending? I wanted to go to Catalyst but ended up not going this time around, but definitely plan to in April or May.

Where are you going for missions? I went on a missions trip a few months ago, and it changed my life. I'm going back next year, and if it works out, staying.

i like it. What are some ways in which you react to God's character the way Jonah did?

My flesh doesn't like that He values patience. But I can see the beauty that patience can produce.

So true. Sometimes we act like the rich young ruler in Matthew. We approach Jesus and ask him for what we want, when his call is for us to simply follow. Seek first God's kingdom. Then all else shall be added, nay?
