I teach special ed- although at the high school so keep that part in mind. Personally I would cringe a little at the way its written from/for a child. Again, I'm high school so bear that in mind!! To me it seems like you're addressing the teacher as though they're a child and that may rub some teachers the wrong way. I understand that some gen ed teachers may not know the sped lingo and absolutely benefit from it be broken down into simplistic language, which I would encourage- just next year for middle school you may want to reconsider that one aspect of it. It is definitely a cute format for the youngest grades!

Hope the kids continue having a good school year and I give you props for being in touch with the teacher so early! I LOVE hearing tips from parents on what works and what doesn't work with their child, especially autistic students and to me the sooner I hear from you, the better!

I hope the 1 on 1 therapies help out! Props to you for recognizing getting help with make life better for you and the two kids, I know that's hard to do. I'm new to your blog, just started reading a week or so ago, and I'm a high school special ed teacher so its really interesting to learn more about the students' lives at home (granted my kids are much older than yours). Definitely will help me have a better handle on things in a way I can't quite articulate quite yet. So, what I'm getting at is thank you!
