I believe I remember when Dorine recommended this book! It sounds fascinating--a bit like The False Prince but with real characters from history. I am a follower, and will cross my fingers I win the copy!

What a delightful book! I am a huge fan of history, so am always thrilled when I can get a child hooked. Bravo to Cari for furthering that cause.

Thanks for the great writing resources, above! You always find the best to share. I would love to win a copy of this book--I can still remember my sisters and I, as young girls, reading about Yellowstone National Park prior to our first trip. Such fun!

In the past I've tended to go for faster pace books with plenty of plot twists, but lately I'm finding I need a nice mix of quieter books in the reading pile. This one looks like just the kind I'm looking for. Thanks for the recommend, and please enter me in the giveaway! I follow!

I just recently got back into survivor stories, and did a spotlight on Hatchet, so this sounds perfect! As a girl I was always reading Jack London's stuff, but never saw any books like this with a girl, like me. Glad to see it available to girls now!
