I used to do duathlons where it was run-cycle-run. Also like the kayak-cycle-run ones like the Tullah Challenge in Tasmania. Trouble is I am too unorganized to do organised events!! Love to play on my own or with my friends.

Wow Mike, that is a lot of running! I used to love running, still 'run' with the Hash House Harriers, but have real trouble keeping up... Amazing how you do it. I do always think variety is the name of the game, as I would hate injuries (and not being able to cough effectively!), so I try to cycle and kayak and walk/hike lots too. At age 45 the lesser impact sports appeal more! Geocaching.com always provides me with new walks/incentives when travelling - which is when I have most trouble motivating myself for exercise!
