It's amazing how we can hold onto the things that don't help us, like anger, frustration, instead of bringing it to God and getting over it. Thanks for your insight :)

We have had bamboo for a little more than two years now and have noted that it easily scratches. However, they're not very noticeable unless you're looking for them, which is a plus. I love the different variations in colour in our simple floor. The cork looks interesting, but I don't know that I would choose it over the bamboo if I had the option again. It would depend on the room, I think, and how many levels of the house there are, etc. Especially if the cost of the two are virtually the same per sq ft.
Guess that's not much help! Hope you share pictures of the finished floor when you've made your decisions!

So, I'm reading this line:

"Said a different way, if you are trying to impress someone, you introduce them to the Sex Volcano Uncle..."

and right about the time I get to Sex Volcano Uncle, I internally hear a "eeyuk yuk yuk yuk yuk" and then proceed to read:

"not the one who does the Popeye voice."

You know, I don't argue with the way you distributed the points, but I kind of wish there was just one uncle who had fiendishly good looks and a great sense of humour (in other words, a merging of the two). Oh wait, kind of like my husband. At least my husband doesn't embarrass me with Elvis impersonations... Unless he's acting with the local drama crew.

That is some valuable insight about pushing through versus resting! Thank you.

Some very good thoughts here! I too fall into the trap of hoping for a "better" tomorrow, or next week, or year. You've given me something to think about :)

I can only imagine what emotions I would feel if I had taken my abuse through the courts to try and seek justice. The shame and guilt I felt as a victim couldn't possibly have been lessened by defense lawyers seeking to discredit me and blame me for the actions of my abuser, a girl the same age as me who was in turn only acting out the abuse she received from her own father.

I respect you for bringing this up in this light as it seems there are many out there who would rather forget about the children. Thank you for saying the difficult words that all too silent voices are also thinking (myself included).

I hope things brighten up for you soon. blessings to you and your family.

I love fall because the "big" kids are back in school, which makes for nice and mostly quiet outings during the day with my little ones.
