Hey Savannah,
Good job not getting depressed that you missed my message (tee hee)
I, too find it harder to handle if depression is mild...guess it's cause I think I can handle it on my own...no need to ask for the Lord's help (It's OK, God, I've got it under control...NOT!).

I love Williamsburg. I went there as a child (that would be decades ago), then took our sons there when they were younger. Later, my husband and I went during Christmas (a must do sometime!). If you ever go again, don't miss the peanut soup in the Kings Arms Tavern. I know it might sound disgusting, but it's wonderful!

To maintain a positive attitude, I surround self with godly women who will pray for me, not let me have a pity party, encourage me in the Lord sharing scriptures like:
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
That verse has helped me not go crazy on occasion!!!

I totally agree with ‘Live in the moment and don't try to look down the road.’ It reminds me of the verse:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 That’s for sure!

I love how you said, “Decide to be productive while being unhappy.” It is a choice. Some days, I have to make the mental effort to shift my focus.

My MS could easily cause me to worry, become depressed, and have despair. It’s the gift that keeps on taking…ability to think impacted, energy level causing me to give up some of the things I love. But whenever my thoughts even begin to be negative, I count my blessings.

I once met a woman who was in a wheelchair because of her MS. Her speech was unintelligible. However, she was able to tell me that she’s thankful she can breathe. There’s always something to be grateful for.
