I have a Maybelline one from like 3 years ago that works great. I will sometimes add a little lotion or coconut oil if it seems dry.

Agreed -- which also brings to mind the directions on the Monistat I bought yesterday that say, in response to the question "can my partner get a yeast infection from me?" - "no, HE probably won't, but he should wash HIS genitals nonetheless."
Not taking birth control does not necessarily mean having unprotected sex & therefore pregnancy. Condoms also prevent pregnancy.
So much of the criticism I'm seeing focuses on the "But I don't want to get pregnant!/I'd have an abortion!" Well, super, and you should be on birth control, as recommended by the CDC and anyone with a brain.

hi, it's me the original commenter circling back to tell you how much this comment meant to me. i broke up with my boyfriend, came out to my conservative family, and am now in a relationship with a woman. i'm feeling emotional even thinking about how hearing a stranger on the internet tell me what i really needed to hear had such an effect on my life. i just needed to revisit and say thank you for being the voice of reason i needed.
OH MY FUCKING GOD. I wanted to yell at Sarah so badly in that instance. As a white person, it is NOT ever acceptable to tell a person of color that their claims of racism are unwarranted. Part of me thinks she might be playing a little dumb to connect to the audience - only because she followed it up with evidence of actual racism against Adnan, but even then, she made comments about how racism might have "seeped in a little" and it all just seems glaringly ignorant of structural racism.
