I love reading your education posts. Although I guess we aren't "waldorf" we really try to limit the plastic toys, but more than that the toys where the kids mimic a TV character or that sort of thing. I feel they are able to use more of their imagination if they just have a plain doll, animal, etc. I love the natural toys simply because they last well. I've found that many people who maybe think I am "crunchy" or putting my kids in an "artsy, not constructive" school may not fully understand the process behind it. I've really come to appreciate the structure behind montessori (and I'm sure waldorf is similar). It may not be sitting at a desk and doing certain activities at a specific time, but there is a process behind it all and I see my kids flourishing, and that is what is most important. Thanks for sharing Nicola. Your school sounds just wonderful. :)

Beautiful colors! :) We have auntie knitted caps, that I'm thankful for, beautiful colors, and a referral for our babe Nicola! I'm so excited. Yes, this is a month to be thankful. :)

We have only a few days of school this week too and then visiting family. Such a nice break from the routine. :)
