And - because he apparently didn't start this ish until after the nuptials makes me think he know his behavior is beyond foul. Otherwise he would have let that little "gem" slip out during one of their pre-marital fuggfests.
No, he knows his old name and old(er?) money bought her conscience lock, stock and barrel. Otherwise, they'd have had a serious "Come to Jesus" moment followed either by compliance or a divorce coupled with stitches in his dyck...

2.) I moved to Europe a few weeks shy of my 17th birthday

That's why I am still in utter amazement when working/lower-middle class white (or brown) folks wax poetic about what a wonderful president Reagan was...! Even now they don't see it. Even now they believe that they are honorary members of that class that benefit from Reagan's policies. Even with the foreclosure notice in the mail...
