Yes! To finish is always my #1 goal, and I think it's often overlooked. You never know what could happen on race day, even for seasoned runners. Good luck with the rest of training!

Sounds great! We're not big ricotta fans either, so I'd sub 2% cottage cheese, same as I do in my lasagna.

I've done two-a-day workouts, but I've never attempted 2-a-day runs. Then again, my body can't handle more than 3 runs/week, so there's that. ha
Great job!

So true! I love this post. I read a couple baby books, but neither really fit my son. I jokingly refer to him as the "Unhappiest Baby on the Block." Ha.

Great job on training! 8 miles on a treadmill is NO JOKE.

Have fun! That's going to be a great experience. I don't have a bucket list - at least not right now.

I love #5, and my ideal day would involve some wine and outdoors time too.

Oh no! I experienced terrible hip pain last year after my first half marathon. It took about 8 months and some PT, so hopefully yours won't be nearly as long-lasting.

Thanks for posting! I had to quit cross country in high school due to runner's knee, and during my first (and only) half marathon last year, I had terrible hip pain that kept me from running for many months after the race. I definitely think the two were related.
