I know in the eyes of God I'm like a flawless gem - because when He looks at me he sees Jesus. But I'm really not sure that's what the world - or my own family for that matter - sees. Lord, make me a beautiful gem of the a Gospel in a dark world.

And that goes back to the message from the other day - no way in heck can we do this on our own. Only by the grace of God. Oh Lord, how I need your grace and mercy!

And, amen to the young men in skinny jeans. Just stop it. :)

Man....two little phrases in the Scrioture jumped out at me: not overbearing, not quick-tempered. Ouch. I need His grace and transformation in my parenting - big time. I'm exhausted. I'm tired of striving. I think it's time to abide for awhile.

Oh, we are so right there. It seems we know the path down which He is leading us...but we are scared. Scared we are leaning on our own understanding. Asking Him for His peace.

Oh my, what a timely word! I was up with The Lord until the wee hours of the morning wrestling over our problem with returning overseas. My heart is Heavy, especially for my children. God has drawn me to Himself in an incredible way the past six weeks since this all happened, and I'm so very grateful for that. But my heart is getting weary.

Wow...this met me right where I am today. Our future is being decided by people halfway across the globe. But this reminded me that nothing happens outside the sovereign, permissive will of God. I pray He grants us favor and compassion in the eyes of those in charge and grants us wisdom in all things, for His glory.

The lies...oh how they can pound and buzz. Like crazy old fluorescent lights that make your head ache and stomach hurt to the point we can't hear the Truth anymore...or distinguish the music (aka Truth) from the buzzing.
