Leslie, I love your button storage post. I have buttons in the little ikea jars like the second picture. I love them that way. It's definitely a candy look, which I have always been partial to. Thanks for stopping by Quirky Vistas and leaving me a sweet comment. Originally I was just going to use the faucet knobs, but then I thought, I might as well get some use out of the whole thing, since I had them. Hope you find a great project to do with some of your own. It was fun!

I too love thread as eye candy. That's a great idea to use the wood box for thread. I have such a box sitting there doing nothing, waiting on a purpose. Think I'll try it! So glad I found you. Thanks for stopping by Quirky Vistas and leaving me a comment about painting The Beast! Oh the time and money of painting things and getting it wrong. Both are in short supply, and yet, I may spend more of both repainting soon.

Liz

Great idea for the wood. I have a newly acquired cabinet I might like to attach some old wood to and create something similar for my patio. I sometimes wonder what to do with all the boxes I find and have the opportunity to make, but using them as a seat or for storage is a great idea besides the just as planters. Tell your husband, Good Job!
