For me I would encourage folks to worry more about what God wants to do with us and how we can worship and serve Him than what a church is or not doing for us.

Over the years I found that the more I am looking at Him the less I rely on man and, in this case, a church the more I grow in my walk. Church as become a self centered place where we say "what is in it for me" and so on. Not saying you were going there directly just that in the end who are you going to serve "God or Man". Church is place of fellowship, to learn and grow by good teaching and sound doctrine. Even style to a degree are important however I put less on what they are doing and more on what I am doing. (assuming it is sound biblical teaching).

Churches, men, society, government and on and on and on... will always fail and let us down but Jesus will never fail or let us down.
