Oh, Burial Rites. What a lovely, lovely book.

I've meant to get to The Martian...sigh. One of these days! ;)

I couldn't agree more about Five Days at Memorial. It's one of those that I think everyone should read. Another, and the one I recommend a lot, is The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. Just amazing.

Have a wonderful month of nonfiction :D

I really liked Henrietta Lacks, probably because so much of it was about the family, lol. I'd like to read more about science but because it's not my main area of interest I tend to be really picking about it ;) I need something accessible for my non-science-y brain!

I'm glad you enjoyed the readathon. It's my favorite darn event!

I've really enjoyed seeing your posts/tweets about BEA. I'm hoping to attend in 2016 when it comes to Chicago. That's a lot closer to my Midwestern home :D

I think that if you're a grown adult who spends almost all your reading time checking up on the exploits of some 16-year-olds, you need to sit down and figure out why the hell you're making that choice instead of reading something that speaks to a life beyond high school. <~~ YUP!

I read Graham's piece yesterday and I knew it was going to cause a big ruckus. (Which is probably exactly why it was written.) While I knew it was going to be incendiary I still agreed with a lot of what she said.

Do I read a bit of YA? Sure! There's some great stuff out there, there's no doubt about that. But on the other hand I'm a 40 year old woman...I spend enough time with the teenagers that I gave birth to.

Anyway, I'm glad I missed the Twitter spaz out but I'm glad I read the article. Double glad you wrote about it!

Lol, I'm in landlocked Wisconsin so I feel your pain. We do have thousands of lakes though, that helps! Great list :D
