I've had my book set aside for almost a year now due to balancing wife, kids, department, construction, and property management. Just keep grinding brother. You're way too good at this to fade away. I've been facing the same decision with the fire department for a little while as well, tough to give up the security. People can talk all they want about chasing your dreams and doing what you love, but at some point that intersects with a guarantee to provide for the family, a pension, and benefits. I really believe that when the opportunity to dive in fully to your passion is right, we'll know.
