Here's the thing about apology cards. You have to actually be sorry.

Here's one that I actually made for a real occasion and was well received.

"Roses are Red/
Violet's are Blue/
And if it's any Consolation..."

"I'm sorry I punched you."
(I swear it was an accident!)

Well, being international really doesn't guarantee impartiality, especially with American national politics. A lot of heated opinions there.

Do we know who came up with Shamalamadingdong? I was under the impression it was me until I heard other people start saying it. (The read here is that I'm not a trendsetter.)

I agree wholeheartedly.

This is the same reason that I'm uncomfortable with DC touting Wonder Woman as their premiere female character. I had read an article on Comic Book Resources that presented the concept of Superman as the Ur-Hero, the character which all other superheroes are based on. Batman? Supeman without powers. Spider-Man? An adolescent Superman. The Fantastic Four? Supeman as a Family. Each of these presents their own conflicts and challenges for the character that allow interesting stories to form.

The problem I've always felt existed with Wonder Woman is that I don't feel her portrayal as a character ever separated itself from the spectacle of "Superman- oh and hey she's a woman." I feel like there's a whole wealth of "A woman who is also Superman" stories out there, and Wonder Woman hasn't really enjoyed the privilege of starring in any of them. Even if we were to just look at DC, there are scores of female characters that have far surpassed Wonder Woman in terms of their portrayals. Just off the top of my head, Barbara Gordon, Batwoman, and Supergirl, all do a far better job as characters.

Honestly, I would love to be proved wrong here. If somebody is able to point me to a Wonder Woman story as clear and compelling as The Long Halloween or All-Star Superman, I would happily eat my words.

A shot of bourbon, on ice. Kris downed it with the tenacity of a wild wildebeest, and the grace of a synchronized swimmer. "Satisfying," he cooed as he reached for his drawing quill.

I gotta be honest: Even though I've seen the preview images, I was kind of hoping you would elaborate on this.

Well hopefully once the next set comes around, you'll feel comfortable rolling out a bit more Chet, because this strip had multiple punchlines for me. A good ol' funny one.

Short vignettes are fine enough. Having too much success can never be a bad thing. Good on ya' Kris.

(I still can't wait for Disk 2 Side 1 though.)
