Oh baby, you are a mom all the time. My mom worked my whole life. I never thought she'd be better if she was home with me. You know I adore my mom. You are a good mom. You do creative things, and that's your calling.

Aww, so proud of you my dear. You really did blossom right before my eyes. Wow, that sounds dirty. I knew you felt good when you did things without me like staying for a drink with the Empress.

So jealous of the boots. Mine won't be making me fly until January.

That sounds fun. I just did a successful road trip myself. Mine turned out fabulously; yours will too!

Yes, the academics will be okay, but dear Lord please don't let my babies have to eat lunch alone. So many anxious memories for me too. It's weird though because I do love school, so much so that I became a teacher!

I'm a teacher, so I read this stuff for a different reason; it helps give me perspective! Also, if you want to talk to the teacher before school starts, please make an appointment and try to keep it around 30 minutes. Teachers are frantic that time of year. Also, be patient with a new teacher. I remember my first time dealing with an IEP; I was overwhelmed because I was still trying to master the basics of teaching. I was terrified I would do something wrong for my SPEd kids and be fired and/or sued. It sucks that you have to educate people over and over again, but please do it. We need you to help us so we can help you. I promise we want to.

So great! Let's hope we can show the politicians how to become statesmen again. Civil discourse can lead to both sides feeling heard.
