Hi from a local-ish blogger! (I'm in the Northern NYC burbs.) Fun post. I hope you and your BFF get to hang out. I've found that, between work and kids it's so, so difficult to find time to get together with friends. I only see my college friends a couple times a year now, which stinks. LOL! I sure don't miss living in the land of why! My boys have outgrown it now. But I did resort to saying "because I said so!" quite a few times when the "whys" just wouldn't stop.

I love the "forever bouquet!" My 6YO created something similar for me for Mother's Day. But they customized the poem so it included personal things about me. Like "my mom likes to eat salad" and what mom really wants is a "new snoopy toy." It's definitely a keeper!

I'd say that 99% of weekday mornings are frustrating for me because of similar issues. My boys don't eat when I tell them to or get their shoes on when I tell them to. They barely make the 7:28 bus. But then, that 1% of the time will come round and I'll have two boys ready to go with time to spare and it's heaven!
