I never quite lost the belief that I would/could change the world, that people are inherently good, and that if you work hard, you will get what you deserve... as a mother I just feel like I actually understand these concepts more now... maybe as parents we have a greater ability too change the world than as Peace Corps members? Maybe, maybe not... but I have to keep believing so I keep on trying... :)

I want to be sitting by the fire reading Christmas stories too :( It was hard to send them all back to school... Merry Christmas to you and your family!

What a really great thing to do for the holidays. Loved the boxes idea. Such a small and simple thing to bring some much needed smiles to any child's little face.

Gorgeous, GORGEOUS shots! We once had a full rainbow in our back yard right over our lake. I managed to capture the perfect shot. They are so beautiful aren't they?!

I don't have a tattoo, but I do love the symbolism and colors (especially the colors!) that you choose to add.

Front row seats at a "home show" are the best (and most comfortable) ones to have! :) (Although your hammock in your new header does look VERY inviting... We have a Nags Head Hammock porch swing which is the ABSOLUTE best - goggle it - I spend any moment I CAN relaxing and watching my kid's activities on it)

My middle son is obsessed both with basketball and Hockey - Makes sense seeing as though we Ohioan's are so close to Canada (we are 45 mins from Windsor). :)

Another note: I did a post titled "Score two for Mom" based on Basketball and used a very similar quote by Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics: “You never make any of the shots you never take." At first glance I thought OMG did I miss quote who said the post? LOL.

We do family bike-rides together and sometimes I just take my youngest out with me in the trailer while I bike. It is WONDERFUL exercise AND family time :) Bike riding - my secret weapon when I can't fit in anything else workout-wise (between blogging, tweeting, reading my Google Reader, etc) LOL

I think that the sunshine and warm weather definitely has a tendency to produce "blogging burnout." I know it has been getting the best of me lately. I live in northern Ohio (only 45 minutes south of Windsor) and so TOTALLY get your Canadian weather :) Pool opens up this week. 3 kids home for the summer in 2 weeks. What's a mom to do? Blog/Pool, Blog/Pool... decisions/decisions...
