I just bought a whole bunch of masks in Japan Town and I can't wait for this weekend. I bought my friend one called "Will You Be a Dog?" which makes you look, you guessed it, like a very cute puppy.
Can you get a moisturizing face mask and drink refreshing things through a straw while you bask in a robe? That is one of the best, easiest items of frivolity in my arsenal.
Also have dessert for dinner!
I love Call the Midwife. I keep trying to get my husband to watch it with me and he danced around before admitting he will probably never want to watch it. Such dismay! He's missing out on all of the charming horror and Sister Monica Joan talking about gamma rays.
Big time yes to all of these. I loved those books so much. SF Fun Cheap is what I use all the time for people trying to entertain guests or find something great to do on the weekends.
I loved the first season of The Black Tapes but this season keeps falling flat for me. I think the dialogue between Alex and her co-worker (is it Paul?) gets so flat these days. Oy. I'm not giving up on it though.
Ohhh!!!! I can't wait to listen. Everything I need!
When he moves to the old apple barn and the cats have catwalks through the house and are physically and mentally aloof unless you are 1. a fresh king salmon 2. a bristly mustachioed man 3. a clue to a murder LJB GETS MEEEEEE.
Saw them last night in Oakland. PFT might actually strangle someone by the end of the show, but it was wonderfully funny. Lapkus went on a couple of joke runs that were absolutely incredible as Todd.
My mom wouldn't let me read the Sweet Valley High or Babysitters Club books! Sigh, those were such cool girls on the covers. Coolness I'll never know!
This! i had to have a parent-teacher conference because in 6th grade I wanted to read Rebecca(not even an ambitious choice) and my language arts teacher thought I was being a jerk. MY TEACHER! What a perplexing appointment that was... I only forgive her because she took large amounts of time during class to read Harry Potter to us aloud.
