Great book - I loved it. (don't put my name in the drawing, Rosi) - kinda reminded me of the problems my friends had (one a preacher's kid, one the son of the scary math teacher).

This sounds fun. And really, who can resist a fairy tale? I like the title - especially "Smart Frog" (though I somehow had read it as "red frog"... go figure)

Rosi - your road trip sounds awesome, and so cool that Greg was able to connect with you guys. Denver reminds me of a rodeo let loose from the fairgrounds.

how funny that we were reading the same book! I don't often read novels in verse, but found this one delightful

My kids were always curious about orphan trains - and read some fiction. Good to see more books. (please don't enter me in drawing)

Spies, War, Lincoln - what's not to love? Thanks for sharing... (but don't enter me into your give-away)

When I read the title (not seeing cover) I was thinking: now THIS could be interesting... and also not knowing who the author was, I imagined a totally different sort of book. But, seeing it's Cynthia, it's gotta be anchored in truth. She writes such interesting books!

Blue Birds sounds like an interesting take on some very old history. 1587 was so long ago it gets short shrift in the history lessons. I know less about Roanoke than I do about the Anasazi. Hey Rosi - have fun at baseball camp! and don't worry about blogging... sometimes you just need to go and toss a ball.

I would read this book for the cover alone. But knowing it's about a homeschooled kid now in school, a "found" sister, and potentially the end of the world puts it on my "read this" list.
