I first want to say, I completely agree on developing a process of evaluating educators and administrators. It is very unclear to me, what teachers unions actually do for the betterment of teachers besides offer protection to those teachers who perform below any acceptable standards. That being said, I come from a background of educators. My point being, educators not baby sitters. Responsibility for developing young minds is twofold. Parents must be involved with their children, especially during those "formative" years when children are exposed to society. Those years, in my opinion are critical in the development of "views" of society. It really does take an entire village to raise a child.
I find this list fascinating. Many kudos sir for presenting this. I have one request, something I have been contemplating for quite some time. These factors need to reach the American people, along with an understanding of them. I would very much enjoy your thoughts on this. Something I find most disturbing in general is discussion of the issues with no substantive discussion on implementation.
