I used my mini-break to go out onto the back deck with my three year old son for a bit and blow bubbles and draw with sidewalk chalk. Great idea. Thanks for the challenge and the nice break!

It's always nice to "meet" a new blogger and discover a new blog during Armchair BEA- one of the things I have come to love most about this event. I love that you are giving away one of your favorite books...makes it a bit more personal. Thanks for the giveaway and I hope you have a great rest of the week with Armchair BEA. Feel free to visit me at Stiletto Storytime if you get the chance.

Thanks for the wonderful post. As the mother of a three year old on the spectrum I so often get the "God doesn't give you anything you can't handle" or "God chose you because you could handle it" line. It's hard...you know people mean well but it's still hurtful and hard to handle. It's always nice to hear from a fellow parent...thanks for sharing!

I am reading this one right now and I have to say I loved Freddy from the very first moment...you just know he's going to be a hero even if the story at first tries to make you believe otherwise...that he is just a friend...you know he's going to outshine himself.
