That's such a smart idea!

Oh, and both of my kids contracted HFM over the summer. Our doctor insisted that rarely does anyone over the age of 10 contract it, but both my husband and my grandmother got it from my kids a few weeks later. That said, we found out after the fact that it can be contracted for up to 3 months post-symptoms through stool, so my husband thinks he probably got it by changing my son's diaper. Not that you wouldn't, but just a reminder to wash your hands really well so you don't get it too!

I feel like this is an hourly struggle for me. I can actually feel my breath catch when my 16-month-old son snuggles close to my chest. And when my 3-year-old daughter climbs on me for the same kind of attention, my initial reaction is to tell her to stop, that she's too big and she's going to hurt my knees. And then I realize that she absolutely cannot stop. Not yet. Not until she's much much older and bigger and my knees have given out.

I kind of love the juxtaposition of those diaper posts. "I used cloth diapers." "Then I used disposable." Love that they were both the right decision for you, depending on the time in your family's life. (Proof positive that one thing doesn't always work for everyone. One thing sometimes doesn't even work for a single person.) Oh, and my go-to in-a-hurry/feeling-lazy breakfast is Eggo Mini Pancakes, so I'm pretty much in the same boat.
