New QB or not -- gonna be a whole lot of big uglies walking into Davie start of camp. O-line is in such need that least some of them are gonna be FAs, even if maybe the stopgap types.
Well guess with a rebuild means you have plenty of options. Not about Needs or plugging holes, but concentrating on what the team looks like in 2020 or even 2021. For me that all starts with a future QB though -- but even if with that said if they sell the farm for one in this draft they better be darn sure.... and that is tough to be.
More likely we get one of the top 3 in the draft, but am thinking the most likely one QB is Rosen.
Patrick -- love the historical sweep on all that. Like a trip down a road called memory lane you hoped you'd never go down again. One point in there is you say " Oakland knew every player in the 3rd slot could be had with the 12th or indeed, the 42nd pick." Have been noting for years how far the Jordan deal was below the Jimmy Johnson trade chart -- but might have been just cause of that. Which now makes the memory of it even worse..... but facts first.
Awesome article Patrick. And love the creativity. Unlike some, only think Kyler Murray comes to Miami in a bong mask though. Even if would love to have him, especially with guys like Wilson and Grant..... thinking Rosen. And yeah that shows where think Murray will be next year.
Written brilliantly, what got me right up top was "those voices have evolved until only the meanest or most outlandish get attention amid the over-saturation." So much better when the competition was to be the best writer in the paper that landed on your door step instead of the one from wherever who could put out the piece that got the most clicks.
On the bigger point -- Tanny could very well could be a QB you can build a team around. No HOF in his future am guessing, but could become low-level qualifier of franchise.
Buckeye -- I paid for the first class postage so would get the issue on the previous game before the next one. Cost almost as much as the subscription, but was money well spent. Kids these days don't know how easy it is to keep up with an out of town team.
Think part of the deal for the makeover was that Gase sold Ross on setting up for the future and at least two more years on his contract. And was real happy we didn't try to max out in FA or by trading away future picks. But still back to WC as a high end scenario, but least that is with the new game plan crew for the future in there. We'll see how it works.
