I got second at ardz boys and didn't win an army but got the battleforce, and have started building my DE list that is quite different to what I see with you and Xaereth (the only DE player to ever beat me). I hear what you say and am taking the challenge to build and play competitively with DE. It is hard for me to change my mindset from MEQ to DE, but I see some great possibilities with the DE force.

Sure. And if you stay with your side arcs covered by other chimeras and hellhounds, then you either move in a wall or just stand still. Side armor 10 is too vulnerable to marines. I agree the colassus would be nasty if a marine army couldn't get close enough fast enough, but I am not sure it would begin an entirely new strategy for guard players. It is basically the manticore with lower strength and no cover saves, which works great against longfangs, etc.

And I am not worried about any counter assault unit that guard can put out... :)

Well that changes things drastically. Space Wolves it is then! I hate Dawn of war, and having those apples, makes my army that much nastier!!! Ah man!!!!!!! Bring out the Thunderwolves again!!!!!!! LOL!!

Ok, I actually have a 2500 point list that is a logan bomb and a thunderwolf bomb. It is super nasty!

You don't have to spam las/plas razorbacks which is a waste of points escpecially at 1500 points in my opinion. We all have opinions random, and yours aren't any better than mine. Unless you can back them up with factual information.... "

Paying 60 points just to upgrade some long fangs into lascannons is not worthwhile, las/plas backs are about the best troops option in the space wolf codex at 1500 points" I am guessing you also bought this off the internet. 75 points for 1 lascannon shot or 2 plasma shots for a razorback is the best option for space wolf troops. NO! I mean why not pay as you say 60 points for 4 lascannons that can split fire and hit double the amount of targets with quadruple the amount of shots? Oh yeah..Longfangs are not cost effective. They are the most cost effective Heavy in the codex.
