We are enthralled with Spiderman right now. Maybe I'll use that to squeeze in Manner Man (he's Spiderman's friend!) lol. Thanks for the review in the KLBH!

I feel you! I could happily stay inside at my computer throughout my work-from-home days, but I do try to give Max outside time. It means me taking breaks during the day and working later in the evening, but it does work for us. Thanks for linking into the Kid Lit blog hop!

The phone book trick is a good one! We have some baby Elmo board books that Max dearly loves. They are contoured so they feel different to him, which he likes. My tactics are 1) reading every night before bed and 2) reading a lot around my toddler so he knows it's fun and something he'll do all his life. My next goal is to get my husband to read around him more!

It's a very sad situation, and one that it's difficult for children (and even adults) to understand. Thank you for reaching out to help such a mother.

I need to get a copy of this book, if only for the image of the man alone in his home with no furniture. Thanks for linking up to the Kid Lit Blog Hop!

Wow, thanks so much for linking this post into the Kid Lit Blog Hop! My mom is an elementary teacher, and she's always complaining that there aren't enough fiction books out there that teach science. Won't she be surprised when I tell her there is one with a bull that explains what to do in the case of tornadoes! Thanks again :)
