Good for you! To know when the current plan is no longer workable. I had to make one of those agonizing decisions once.... one that changes your ability to say "I never give up." But it had to be done. You'll find a better house and a support network and you'll be great!

I love all parts of the beet- it may be my favorite green. And I've eaten lots of amaranth. Don't know the roselle or goji. Have not grown sweet potatoes, but I sure like them.

Not qualified as such, but have Wilderness First Aid, and lapsed First Aid, CPR. In the US that's a joke. I learned more in Girl Scouts.

Your list is crazy! I had no idea you were dealing with all that. I don't seem to be allergic to any foods. No fresh fruit or veggies would be a horrible fate. It seems to me like there are many more people with food allergies than there used to be.

We heated with wood fall and spring, and coal in the dead of winter when I was a kid. Remember, I am "She Who Builds Fires." There's plenty of wood in the forest for a night of fire, but no, don't go cutting it off of trees. I can even get a fire going in the rain. Our neighbors when I was a kid still cooked on a woodstove.

This sounds like a lot of work. I did some gathering and keeping and planting of wetland species seeds in my short career as a wetland plant purveyor. It's always amazing which one will sprout better than others, which will spring up and then drop dead in a month, etc..
