I love these!!! I'm such a sucker for coffee/tea mugs. Can't wait to track down some oil-based Sharpies and try this.

Rabia, I was named after a baby my mother cared for and got close to when she was doing nursing clinical. She saved the notes she took for class - a journal of sorts - and put them in my baby book. I always loved reading them when I was growing up.

I'm an early-to-bed person too although I'd gotten into a bad habit of staying up too late ... consistently. I've been better at getting to bed around 10:30 lately - now to continue that trend!! It's hard because my husband is a HUGE night owl. I think he'd stay up until 4am every morning if he could.

MIchelle, I linked here via Christine's Friday links post. (Love, Life, Surf.) I enjoyed reading this post. It's very validating because it's kind of what I've been doing for the past few months, too. I do a handful of link parties, but the only one I do on a weekly basis is a menu planning party/link up and I don't do it for followers/comments/etc. I do it because I love food and menu planning and always find tons of healthy, clean-eating recipes in every else's menu plans. Link parties and striving for followers and likes would run me into the ground and make me hate blogging if I did it as much as some people do. I think it comes down to doing what's right for your particular personality and being the introvert that I am, they're just not for me. Figuring that out sure felt good!

I love minestrone. It's always fun to add different pasta shapes :)

I almost always throw chocolate chips into my banana bread. It's the best way to make it :)

Tuna sandwiches are one of my favorite things. I don't know why I don't make them more often. Yours looks particularly delicious with that bread. Yum!

Next steps can be scary - but fun.

I just read the synopsis for the book you mention. It sounds SO good. Four years. Wow. I'd love to do something like that someday. My husband and I have talked about taking a year in England when the youngest goes to university. Not exactly the same thing, but along those lines anyway :)

Nina, I've always been interested in the Jewish faith and your essays always make me even more so. I agree with Tamara: that tooth fairy is one excellent writer :)

My kids had teeth pulled this week - the 8 year-old had two and the 7 year-old had FOUR. The tooth fairy was sympathetic and therefore very generous this visit!

About that list ... need to get myself one of those :)

I always love seeing your yoga pose pictures, Christine. I'm amazed that no one pays attention to you - if I did that last one in public where I'd live, it would stop traffic and probably make the local news :)
