I have often stated something similar to this that I think is better and more likely to be distanced from politics.

This will take away ANY estimations that the political class would like to "massage". It is a concrete number that is known before hand.

Why can't Romney say and explain that IF the government LOWERS tax rates that revenue will go UP??
It has happened three times in the past 100 yearsand is PROVEN to work. Coolidge, JFK, and Reagan did it!!! One of those is a Democrat, that leftists adore. While all of these socialist policies have NEVER worked for extended periods. Think the 30's.

If the government lowers rates, it makes the environment easier for businesses, both new and existing. These businesses CREATE something of use to the population and sell it for a profit. They then hire people to take advantage of the opportunities. When people get hired, they make more money and spend more money. Which provides more opportunities for more businesses. These businesses CREATE something of use to the population and sell it for a profit. And keeps going and going and....

Government creates NOTHING that can be sold for a profit!!
